Pence Reaffirms Governor’s Anti-Casino Position in Kentucky

I am all for protecting the assets that the state of Kentucky has in the form of gambling. While I understand the Lt. Governors position that he must follow Fletcher lead. I disagree that this is the only position. According to the article Kentuckians already send close to 200 million dollars or more into Indiana. Obviously, that means a large portion of Kentucky citizens enjoy a alternative to the standard horse race gambling. How shortsighted the horse industry is becoming. They think by keeping regular gambling out of the neighborhood it won’t affect them. Anyways, here is the link

Whats your opinion?

  1. Kentucky Progress Says:

Expanded gambling will happen in Kentucky. The 2006 General Assembly will pass it. I don’t like it, but I don’t think anyone can stop it.
