Kentucky Votes and the Kentucky Legislature

With the General Assembly about to convene for its 2006 regular session, the online sites where Kentucky citizens can track their senators’ and representatives’ votes have increased from none a year ago to two.

One will be an official site produced by legislative staff. The other site-maintained by a former journalist who expects to work in odd corners of the Capitol Annex building-represents a privately sponsored challenge to state control over key information.

The above excerpt is from a article on ChallengerKY.com
It outlines how the Legislature has put up its own website to counterbalance the Kentucky Votes.org website. Of course the government downplays the importance of the public site. I say score one for citizen journalism.
